We had a great time at #DroneWest24, showcasing how ADLC is pioneering drone port logistics services

Intro

On 11 June, more than 200 participants gathered at Bluebridge in Ostend for the fourth edition of Drone West. The day was entirely dedicated to the future of drones, with exciting presentations and an exhibition featuring no fewer than 28 exhibitors. This edition reaffirmed the role of drones in sectors such as logistics, inspection and security, today and tomorrow.

In the morning, POM West Flanders started with an explanation about Vertiports and Test@Sea respectively. Within the framework of these European projects, in collaboration with various research and knowledge partners, sustainable drone initiatives are implemented above and in the North Sea.

Then, Didier Decaestecker of SkeyDrone presented the roadmap for the development of offshore airlifts for unmanned systems, in synergy with existing manned aviation. A challenge in which West Flanders wants to take the lead in the coming years in order to strengthen its pioneering role in the structural use of drones.

Finally, our chairman, Marc Kegelaers, took the floor to present what ADLC achieved together with SGS and BASF in the port of Antwerp where our drones are used for logistical operations. The case aroused a lot of interest among the audience.

During this event, ADLC has reaffirmed its objective of serving the port industry but also the offshore and maritime industries by offering new convenient, reliable, cost-effective and ecological transport solutions.
